Among others, CED provides the test facilities for seat crash testing, including a powerful reverse pneumatic catapult. This is used by manufactures in the automotive or aerospace industry to evaluate seat behavior during an impact - to guarantee occupant safety in case of an emergency such as a crash.
The engineer wanted to view the test signals in real-time during the test. Now they use software and rugged data acquisition systems from Dewesoft for seat mechanism testing and crash test dummies calibration.
