CAE Acoustic & Vibration
Acoustic Camera
SoundCam is the first camera that images sound and is affordable for everyone. The system is intuitive and as easy to use as a smartphone. SoundCam locates sound sources in real time and immediately displays the results on the screen. Dimension: 34 cm.
SoundCam consists of 64 microphones, an optical camera, an integrated data acquisition and analysis system, as well as a display and control unit with touchscreen and hardware buttons. The system displays high-resolution results in real time on the screen. What makes it so special is its high speed and accuracy. |
The Bionic XS-56 microphone array has a diameter of 27 cm and consists of 56 microphones. The seven detachable microphone arms make the system very mobile with a small package size. The data acquisition hardware is integrated in the acoustic camera so there is no need to use external measuring equipment.
Typical applications are environmental measurement, leakage detection and squeak, buzz and rattle localization. |
The Bionic S-112 microphone array has a diameter of 60 cm and consists of 112 microphones. It is engineered for use from 400 Hz. The seven detachable microphone arms make the system very mobile with a small package size. The data acquisition hardware is integrated in the acoustic camera so there is no need to use external measuring equipment.
Typical applications are environmental measurement, leakage detection and squeak, buzz and rattle localization. |
The Bionic M-112 microphone array has a diameter of 100 cm and consists of 112 microphones. It is engineered for use from 40 Hz with the holography-method. The seven detachable microphone arms make the system very mobile with a small package size. The data acquisition hardware is integrated in the acoustic camera so there is no need to use external measuring equipment.
Typical applications are wind power plants, gear, industrial facilities and environmental measurement. |
The Bionic L-112 microphone array has a diameter of 170 cm and consists of 112 microphones. It is engineered for use from 150 Hz in far field. The seven detachable microphone arms make the system very mobile with a small package size. The data acquisition hardware is integrated in the acoustic camera so there is no need to use external measuring equipment.
Typical applications are wind power plants, gear, industrial facilities and environmental measurement. |
The 3D microphone array is used for spatial 3D beam forming. The object is located in the array for the 3D beam forming process. With only one measurement the acoustic behavior of the 3 dimensional object can be displayed. Depending on the application it can be used between 40 up to 560 microphones. Even the array size can be chosen between 80 x 80 x 80 cm up to the integration of the microphones in a whole room. |
The mobile handheld Intensity Array is for the localization of low frequencies for stationary and transient noise from 40 Hz. The small size and online analysis is a perfect trouble shooter system. The detection is done by scanning the surface. The result is a photo or video (acoustic-photo / acoustic-video).
Intensity measurements have a very high dynamic range because no algorithms or beam pattern are limiting the range. |
The 3D Acoustic Intensity Probe is for localization of sound sources from 40 Hz. The compass consists of 28 acoustic intensity probes and shows in a 3D display via 3D vectors the direction of the noise sources. The small size of the acoustic 3D intensity probe and the online 3D intensity analysis is a perfect trouble shooter system.
